Kanda-batata pohe....(All time favorite)


Ingredients:-
2 cup flattened thick rice
1 medium onion
1 boiled peeled potato

For tempering:-
1 tsp.mustard seeds,1 tsp.cumin seeds,1/2 tsp. hing,1/4 tsp.turmeric powder
5-6 curry leaves
3 green chilies
3-4 tsp.oil
salt to taste
sugar-1/2 tsp.
lemon juice-1/2 tsp.
chopped fresh coriander leaves-to garnish
fresh grated coconut-to garnish


Method:-

1)Wash & rinse thick flattened rice under running water,drain all the water & keep aside for 5 mins.
2)Add some salt & sugar as per taste to the washed flattened rice.
3)In a non-stick frying pan,heat 3 tsp.of oil,temper with mustard seeds,cumin seeds,hing,turmeric powder,add chopped green chilies & curry leaves.
4)when the curry leaves starts spluttering,add finely chopped onion & fry for a minute,then add chopped boiled peeled potato(chop into medium cubes),& fry for another minute or so.
5)Now add washed Poha,& fry for 2 mins.
6)Add lemon juice as per taste.
7)Garnish it with freshly chopped coriander leaves,& freshly grated cocont.
8)Serve hot.
