Cluster beans with potato fry(Gawar-batata bhaji)


Introduction:-
  • Cluster Beans (Gawar) 2 cups
  • 1 big size potato
  • 3 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp goda masala
  • salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup roasted peanut powder
  • Small piece of jaggery
  • 1tsp Mustard + Cumin Seeds
  • 4-5 Curry Leaves
  • Pinch of Hing
  • 1/4 tsp.turmeric powder

Method:-
1) Remove ends of Gawar and cut in to 1 inch pieces.Pressure cook Gawar with little amount of water.
2)Take out excess water once Gawar is cooked.
3)pressure cook potato,peel it and cut in to small cubes.
4) Heat oil in a frying pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, pinch of hing,turmeric powder,curry leaves.
5) Add cooked potatoes & fry for 2 min,then add cooked gawar & fry for a minute.
6)Now add the removed excess water from Gawar,salt,jaggery,& goda masala,& cook for another minute.
7)Finally add the ground peanut powder,fry for another minute or so,& garnish it with fresh chopped coriander leaves.
8)Tastes gr8 with fresh Puri,chapati or phulka.
