Moong Dal fry

Ingredients:-

Moong dal-1 cup
oil-1 tsp.
Mustard seed-1/4 tsp.
cumin seed-1/4 tsp.
A pinch of hing
A pinch of turmeric powder
curry leaves 4-5
crushed Garlic cloves 2/3
crushed Ginger-1/4 tsp.
Dry coconut powder
cumin powder-1/4 tsp.
Finely chopped onion-1/2
salt to taste
A pinch of sugar
Fresh chopped Coriander -for garnishing
Fresh lemon juice-1/4 tsp.

Method:-
1)Pressure cook moong dal till it is well cooked.
2)Heat oil in a pan,add mustard seed,cumin seeds,hing,turmeric powder,curry leaves.
3)Add finely chopped onion,& fry for a min,add crushed ginger garlic paste.
4)Add dry grated coconut powder,& fry for another min.
5)Now add cooked moong dal & fry for a min.
6)Add cumin powder,salt & sugar to taste,some water,& fry for 2 min.
7)Once the dal starts boiling,turn off the heat.
8)Add lemon juice & garnish with the freshly chopped coriander leaves.
9)Serve hot with rice.

This is a nice variation to the regular toor dal usually used in Dal fry.
