Palak Dal...


Ingredients:-

Toor dal-1 cup
chopped spinach leaves-1/2 cup
finely chopped onion-1/2
finely chopped tomato-1 medium
crushed garlic-2-3
asafoetida-1/2tsp.
turmeric powder-1/4tsp.
salt-to taste
sugar-a pinch
Garam masala-1/4tsp.

For tempering

Oil-1tsp.
ghee-1 tsp.
cumin seeds-1/2 tsp.
curry leaves-4-5

Method:-

Pressure cook toor dal with asafoetida,turmeric,crushed garlic,chopped onion,tomatoes,spinach leaves.

In a frying pan,heat oil,& ghee together,add cumin seeds,once it starts spluttering,add curry leaves.

Then add cooked dal with veggies,fry for 2 minutes,add salt,sugar to taste,add garam masala(you can skip this if you don't like it spicy),fry for another minute,add water for the consistency of your choice.

Bring it to boil,serve hot with rice/chapati.
