Chana Palak

Ingredients:-
  • Bunch of spinach leaves
  • 1 cup cooked chick peas/chole
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • 1 tbsp minced Garlic
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 tsp Fennel Seeds
  • 2 Green Cardamom
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Kasoori Methi
Method:-

Making Spinach puree:-
  • Bring the water to boil
  • Add spinach leaves in boiling water,& let the leaves be in boiling water for about 5 minutes.
  • After it cool down completely,add it to the blender,add 1 chopped green chilli,& blend it to make spinach puree.
Main dish:-
  • Heat up oil in a pan,add bay leaf,1 tsp.of fennel seeds,green cardamom,& cook for a minute.
  • Add finely chopped onion,& try till it turns pinkish.
  • After onion is cooked,add minced garlic,mix well & cook for a minute.
  • Now add garam masala,red chilli powder,coriander powder,cumin powder,& mix well.cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add boiled chickpeas in the masala & mix well.
  • Now add spinach puree,salt to taste,pinch of sugar,& mix well,bring it to boil.
  • Add crushed kasoori methi,it gives awesome taste to the dish.
  • Cook for 10 minutes on a low flame.
  • Serve hot with chapati,paratha,plain rice.
