Kadhai Chicken


Ingredients :-
 
1)Chicken:-1 lb
2)Onions finely chopped:-2 Big
3)Tomatoes finely chopped:-2 Big
4)Garam masala:-1 Tsp
5)Red chilli powder:-4 Tsp
6)Coriander powder:-11/2 Tsp.
7)Turmeric powder:-1/4Tsp.
8)Green pepper:-1 medium
9)Lemon juice:-1Tsp
10)Ginger garlic paste:-2Tsp
11)Cumin powder:-1/2 Tsp.
12)Whole Garam masla


Method:-

To make this chicken,first we need to marinate the chicken,Generally I use chicken thigh to make this chicken,but chicken breast can also then used,first wash the chicken,& cut it in medium cubes,mix 2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, lemon juice, salt in a medium size bowl,add chicken pieces to it,&mix well,cover it,& keep it aside for 1/2 hour.

Heat 4 Tsp.oil in a pan,add whole garam masala to the hot oil(2cloves,2 black peppercorn,2 green cardamom,1/2 inch cinnamon stick.)Add finely chopped onions,& fry till onions turn golden brown.

Add ginger garlic paste,&fry till it's raw smell goes away.Add coriander,cumin powder,&saute for a minute.

Add chopped tomatoes,with a little bit of water,cover the pan,& let it cook for 3 miutes,on a medium heat,Add red chilli powder,cook it for another 2 minutes,let the tomatoes get fully mashed up with the masala.When the oil starts to loose out,it is done.

Now add marinated chicken,& mix well,add 1/2 cup of water,cover it & let it cook for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes,open the cover,mix well to avoid burning from the bottom,& again let it cook for 10 more minutes.

Once the chicken is almost cooked,add garam masala,& chopped green peppers.cover it ,& let it cook on medium heat,till chicken with peppers is fully cooked.

Kadhai chicken is ready to serve with roti,bhakari,or rice.
